So the first MMA fighting event to appear live on Showtime didn’t quite end as everyone had expected. Those who thought Shamrock would walk all over the much smaller and less muscular Gracie, were surprised to see the opposite turn out to be the case. Those who expected Renzo to sink a flash submission during the 15 seconds the fighters were supposed to be allowed to fight on the ground, had their hopes dashed when the possibility of that did not play out. Either way, no matter who one cheered for, the maiden MMA event on Showtime would prove to be a disappointment for a display of very poor sportsmanship on the part of the self-proclaimed greatest fighter ever, Frank Shamrock.
